what is PLUR?
Again? Damn. Haha :) PLUR is a word used by ravers to stand for Peace Love Unity and Respect. A lot people like to add on an extra R, symbolizing Responsibility. Plur is basically a belief and manner of behaving that mans you will care for your fellow ravers, and that you will accept them the way they are. Aka not judging someone, but rather, really trying to understand them. I try to never judge anyone, except based on how plur they are:P PLUR in the rave scene is so wonderful, so beautiful. It’s having an extra pack just so people can bum cigs off of you, its giving that girl a dollar when she needs it, or that boy a piece of gum. Its giving away your last little bi of water, giving out massages, trading kandis, meeting new people, making sure that person in the corner with their head down is okay. Its a way of life of helping out your fellow humans. I believe plur is the raver word for something much deeper, and truer. You have people at raves, without any religion, giving ghings away to complete strangers. Take this kandi, this toy, this $50 hat. I once saw a raver give $50 to a complete stranger, because we were all sitting by each other and he had gotten ripped off. Someone sold him fake pills. So this raver just gave him $50. No, pay me backs, no strings, no hesitation even. That is amazing. That is PLUR.
I try to be as plur as possible. I bring new people and make sure its the greatest night of their life, i bring things just to give away, sometimes even just little toys. But its cute, and it can make someones night. Raves are…. like an alternate society. Where in the real world strangers will stare at you when you need help, maybe even hurt you more, raves are filled with this other, this beautiful idea of love. I believe raves are changing the world, but for the better.
