I’ve gotten a couple of questions on this already, so I’m going post a reply I used insofar as normal weight loss, but at the end I’ll talk about EDC in general.

I don’t work out a lot, although I try to stay fit. I work at a rock wall, so I climb whenever I get bored, and it helps a lot :)
E makes you not hungry, but only temporarily, and it does have a slightly diuretic effect but weight loss would be a terrible reason to roll. I’ve gotten this crazy desire to constantly chew things from it, so whenever I dont have gum I eat like a pig. besides that whatever size you are I’m sure you’re absolutely gorgeous!!!<3
I know the craze and allure of weightloss, especially here on tumblr. I’ve been on that road before. And trust me dear, no matter what size you get down to it wont be enough. I’m only saying this because you mentioned e as weightloss, not a healthy way.
Eat smaller sized portions, cut out the really bad crap - junk food/candy/soda, and eat more vegetables :) And exercise a little than you have, but on a regular basis. :) then you should get to the right size for you.
If you’re interested in shrinking the size of your stomach - a lot of bingers are attracted to drugs that make you not hungry because it shrinks their stomach - dont go the drug way. its only a temporary shrink and wont last - trust me. Instead, use a couple days and only eat fist sized portions every 3-4 hours. Don;t continue to do this indefinitely. Instead just switch over to smaller meals and light snacks between.
If you have a binging problem, a temporary fix is to binge on celery, and eat three normal meals a day until you get help from some kind of professional.
If you want just weightloss in general - get more sleep! You burn more calories asleep than awake and inactive. Work out! And drink at least eight 8oz glasses of water a day. Oftentimes you eat when your thirsty, so if you drink enough you wont eat as much. and go vegetarian - cutting your trans fats helps out so much, because theyre harder to burn than healthy fats, and have no real use. The fats in almonds help your brain, instead of crowding your thighs. and do your weight/strength work outs before your cardio. it takes your body about half an hour to get in gear for exercise. Muscle work outs keep burning for hours, cardio only burn while your running/moving. So do your cardio in the most efficient spot of the work out - the end!
working out and eating healthy is a very doable, simple solution :) And it oes work the best. just stay in tune with your body :)
I WANT TO LOOK MY BEST FOR EDC! HELP!!
Now, dearies, don’t get carried away. EDC is just a music festival. And I’m sure you’ll look great no matter what weight you are. But since you guys will try and crash-diet anyways, here’s some tips for looking great without the nutso:
- Start months before EDC. The healthy way takes time, but it lasts longer. Increase your muscle work outs, do cardio at the end of your workouts, eat more veggies, etc. Start working out a little every day - and start doing real work outs NOW. As far as diets go - commit to changes. Make one change at a time: No fast food, no foods with corn syrup, no red meat, no meat, only whole grains, eat breakfast, have small dinner, eat veggies at every meal, etc. Take it one step at a time. In general though - increase your veggies, and eat them first! Eat up all the veggies, then slowly eat your LEAN protein, then a small portion of carbs - maybe.
- Make it fun! Commit a week to trying new veggies, or veggies cooked in different ways!
- Pick outfits that are figure-flattering. Will I ever wear pasties? No. I don’t have the body for. My boobs will never look nice in pasties. And frankly, I don’t want to unbalanced look they give. A strong bikini top gives a MUCH better hourglass figure. A tight spandex top will help keep my stomach tight that last day, no matter how much junk food I’ve stuffed over the weekend. Smarter outfits = better comfort with how you look/feel.
- EDC is coming soon - work out like a monster. But really - a toned look is sexy, and you’ll need to eat like a t-rex to look like a body builder. If you’re worried about getting too much muscle - which you shouldn’t be - talk to a trainer. Just ask how much strength training you should do to not gain any muscle mass. After that, do as much cardio as your heart desires.
- A diet I approve of: Eat meals that a little bigger than your fist, every fours hours. Make sure each meal is veggies/protein/fruit, with carbs when you think you need them. That’ll help to shrink the size of your stomach (the organ, not your tummy) so you’ll have better control over your hunger. Do this for a couple days, and then find the right balance of calories/daily need. Eating smaller portioned snacks through-out the day keeps your metabolism revved, and your body fueled, while still maintaining your calorie needs.
- The week before edc? Lower SALTS and REFINED SUGARS. Salts make you pack on water weight. Sugar makes you break out.
- A couple days before edc, lower your carbs. carbs do make you poofier. Don’t eliminate them however - you’re body will pack on food if it thinks you don’t have energy. Carbs = energy. Yes you need some. Oh, and learn some work outs you can do on the road, in a hotel. Do some planks the night before edc to help you feel tight and toned.
- EDC day - stop worrying. Go out, have fun, and have the night of your life! Life shouldn’t be about how skinny you are, or how many calories you eat. Go listen to the best music, see the best dj’s, meet the best people, and eat the damn cotton candy :) You need to live a little.
Always stay SAFE in your diets. Get the RIGHT amount of calories for your needs. And for heaven sake, DON’T YOU DARE GET AN ANOREXIC BLOG JUST TO LOSE WEIGHT. It’s a dark and dangerous road. Healthy is always beautiful <3
