All my tips so far :)
When Rolling, Tip One:
Do something for a friend or loved one:) All those happy lovely thoughts and emotions you’re feeling can be put to good use :) One time, I cleaned my entire friend’s kitchen spotless. I had a BLAST (sliding stomach first on slippery floor as “mopping” = win!) and she was so happy about it! :) Spread the love! Finally let those people know how you feel. Send a sweet text, write a long letter, or, like my boyfriend and I, write tons of little notes, put them in easter eggs, and hide dozens of them through-out the house for my parents to find when they came home. Doubles as an excuse for what you did when they were out of town.
Me? Party? No no no i made a giant easter egg hunt for you :)
When Rolling, Tip Two:
Get a massage!
This is so completely a must. I can’t imagine how anyone could not get one. If you find someone really good at massages even better. A serotonin push? With a lightshow?
Oh hot damn :) Heaven :)
When Rolling, Tip Three:
Go on an adventure!!!!
Find friends and hit the town! Explore! Find somewhere new, have an adventure and embrace it wholeheartedly! Go!
When Rolling, Tip Four:
Blow Bubbles :) trust me :)
When Rolling, Tip Five:
Play pretend, like you used to when you were a child. You can have fun things, little toys with you, but I recommend real pretend. The greatest night I eve spent, I was in a castle, walking in circles being first a guard and then the queen, then I was racing on a wild racehorse, then I was a tiger, and with my sweetie - it was wonderful :) <3
When Rolling, Tip Six:
Try new sensations.
Trying kissing while passing an ice cube back and forth. Eat pop rocks. Try new flavors of gum. Feel stuffed animals, soft coats, skin, everything. Take the time to really feel everything. Taste everything.
When Rolling, Tip Seven:
Listen to music.
Take it inside you, feel the bass pounding through you, emobodying your soul, controling your thoughts, controling you, bringing nw awareness. Let the music take you.
When Rolling, Tip Eight:
Dance
it doesnt matter if you “cant, never have, just do it. If you like dancing even better, let your body flow with the music at first, then let it do whatever it wants, go crazy dance for minutes, hours. Really move your body as much as you can. Sweep your arms in half circles in front of you, extending them as far as they go, and then experiment, move all parts of your body, feel each one, and feel each motion.
When Rolling, Tip Nine:
Lay down
Stretch, move, wiggle around. Feel the ground, the floor, look up. feel every part of yourself. Feel your body and personality merge. Be ridiculous, say, i’m laying in a ridiculous position and I don’t care! See what happens, how you act, accept yourself <3
When Rolling, Tip Ten:
Go swimming :)
I mean this from the complete and bottom of my heart. Bring someone with you, obviously, to watch you :) But feel the utter freedom of existing without gravity, without limits. Float, sink, spin, do whatever. Just feel it :)
When Rolling, Tip Eleven:
Get creative, in however way you normally do so :) Draw, paint, make music, dance, take photos, write, whatever it is that emulates you <3
When Rolling, Tip Twelve:
Go to a rave you crazy mo fo!:)
There are so many people there who would love to make it the best experience ever. See all the crazy lights, get a light show, hear the awesome DJs, get gifts, get kandi, make news friends, its great! :)
When Rolling, Tip Thirteen:
Smell a Vicks Stick. it’ll blow your mind.
When Rolling, Tip Fourteen:
Move around. Shake your arms, legs, lean all the way foward and shake your head around. Feel all the lovely crazy sensations:)
When Rolling, Tip Fifteen:
Chew gum! Try new flavors, try old flavors (they’ll seem new) explore your taste buds. Plus you’ll want to chew anyways, this can save your tongue, lips, and rubber bracelets.
When Rolling, Tip Sixteen:
Be barefoot. It’s great:)
When Rolling, Tip Seventeen:
Get cuddly. Wear everything and anything fuzzy that you can. Wear fuzzy socks. Climb into a pile of stuffed animals with a fuzzy blanket under them. Trust me, it’s great:)
When Rolling, Tip Eighteen:
Play with you hair! Its the nicest feeling ever, also take a shower right before you roll so your hair is super clean and soft

Have COLD water. When I’m rolling, I always walk to starbucks and ask for ice water, cold water is the best, and it’s a must to keep yourself hydrated!
Alternate between sitting and standing, don’t do one or the other for too long! Oftentimes I start feeling sick if I stand for too long, and start panicking when I sit for too long. If either of these happens while sitting or standing, try the other one, or hold hands with someone. Holding hands feels AMAZING. Oh, and just rub your arms, trust you’ll feel amazing.(: Those are my tips<3
Some random tips :)
- Stay safe!! Always have a buddy, don’t be driving, know where youre getting your shit from, all that jazz. Be careful lovelies!
- Bring a buddy anyways. E is all about emotions, interactions, being. Exist as whoever you Are, Accept it, Love it, and Love other people! :)
- Dress up! Make it an occasion! Wear crazy clothes, kandi, look your crazy finest :) It’ll make you feel good later on i swear :)
- Don’t eat a lot beforehand. It can make you really sick. Eat light foods all day, and dont eat within 2-5 hours before. If you get hungry when rolling, well, some people do, then eat something light, or if you can handle it, whatever youre craving. If you feel like you need food but cant eat, drink orange juice. It has a ton of nutrients and goodness, but is still light and watery. Plus it is loaded with vitamin c
- Nom your vitamin C! I believe in this anyways, because its really good for you, but it makes your roll so amazing :) Plus, if you can do so without getting queasy, take Saint John’s Wort, it’s a vitamin that promotes happiness, sold at local drugstores:)
- If you do get queasy, just sit down, and put your head down. It should go away after a little bit. Dont get mad sad or upset - its fine. I promise. If you really need to puke do, just know it’ll make your roll a little less hard. But if you were that sick, thats probably a good thing
- Sometimes you feel bad, really bad, because youre crazy tired and rolling and you dont know what to do but it just feels like shit. You know what? If youre in a safe place, take a nap. I slept one time for an hour while rolling and woke up so ridiculously refreshed! some quiet time helps restore you to get back to the party :)
- I can’t think of anything else right now but please please please dont be afraid to ask me ANY questions! :)
- Explore your childhood. Remember the good old days.s Find your favorite toys, tv shows, everything,. Rediscover what makes you YOU :)
- Read it up guys:) Learn your stuff ahead of time. Drink water - not like 5 gallons but don’t forget to drink it:P All that jazz.
- Remember important things you won’t think of, especially if youre going out. Like, chapstick:)
- Wear nice deodorant (you may dance more than normal) and if you like it, perfume/cologne. Especially perfume though. You’ll absolutely LOVE smelling fresh:)
- If you get worried or stressed about anything while rolling, smile. Just remember to smile, and you’ll realize just how wonderful it all really is.
- TAKE A BATHROOM TRIP. Splash some water on your face and meet people. The BESSTTT people I’ve ever met at raves have been the super sweet people you meet in the bathroom. They’re all feeling what youre feeling and are all always there with smiles, hugs, and of course a piece of gum :) -imthatginger
