Can You Be Too Young to Rave?
In general, I know you think you’ve got life figured out… no matter how old you are. And no matter how old you are, you probably don’t.
I would say, yeah, 13 may be a little early to start raving. Number one, you don’t want to be lying to your parents, especially not this early. It’s also important that you still be thinking a lot about your future right now - are my grades okay? What high school am I going to? How can I spend my high school career preparing to apply for colleges? And these questions, it’s not to become super stressed about it, but to talk to your parents, to talk to teachers and make sure you keep that focus in mind. It’s very easy to start to not care. I think 13, while its an age where you are starting to become a lot more mature, starting to understand real world issues, I don’t know if you’d be prepared enough to handle a lot of what goes on at raves. You’d want to go with a group of responsible, or trustworthy friends, and it’d be hard to find a group of thirteen-year-olds mature enough, even if you are. You don’t want to go alone. And there are a lot of influences there: guys wanting to dance with you, or more. Lots of drugs, which no matter how open you are to experimenting, you DO NOT want to start trying too soon. No matter what. Your brain is still developing, and starting drugs too early can make you lose a lot of brain power, intelligence, or can even spark depression. Imagine the saddest youve ever been. Now imagine feeling like that all the time.
Honestly, I know it can seem very exciting, but I promise there will be still be raves in a couple of years. For now, have fun with friends, hang out, make those connections and then you’ll have people to bring with you when you go to your first one.
Also almost all raves have an age limit. The lowest is generally 16, although in cali and others its 18.
Raves are about freedom, music, dancing, acceptance, and unity. What you CAN do is listen to electronic dance music, have fun with friends, and be the best person you can. Be PLUR. Accept everyone as they are, and judge them on their actions not looks or something silly. Be as accepting as possible.
And most of all dearie, just be yourself<3 You dont need to be a raver to be “cool”. Wait until youre older to try it (it’s for an OLDER crowd. Some people think 16, and even 18, is too young). Be yourself and you’ll be great<333
Anonymous asked:i have a question…most ravers that are 18 or older said they started when they were like 14 or 15 soo why is it bad to start then?I mean you have to start somewhere lol….if you start when you are too young your a wanna be but if you’re older your a newb.
Yes, a lot of people started raving when they were 14 or 15. But that does not mean it is okay or that I recommend it. Your logic is silly. A lot of ravers buy pills from people they don’t know - i certainly don’t recommend THAT! I have never considered anyone a “newb”, but rather just a new raver. That doesnt make them any more or less “cool” or worthwhile as a person. I LOVE meeting new people, and getting to know them, no matter how long youve been raving. thats such a superficial thing. I do however discourage people from raving too young.
For your sake - http://glitterbuggg.tumblr.com/age
And for everyone else’s in the rave scene - http://glitterbuggg.tumblr.com/post/4860590233/colossal-event
It’s not that I don’t want you to rave, or that ‘m judging you, but it’s WAY more likely to be detrimental to your life (I DO think I started partying and raving too early, and made plenty of mistakes I now regret) and if ANYTHING happens to you, the media will get a whiff of it and BAG THE SHIT out of our rave scene, potentially shutting us down forever. Don’t do that love<3 I’m sure most 13, 14, and 15 year olds that want to start raving are wonderful people, and I’m sure a LOT of them would have something wonderful to add to the scene. In all honesty… they probably WOULD have more PLUR than so many of the dumb college kids I see raving now, just to get drunk and see girls with little clothing on. So if you can get some kind of permission, youre responsible, stay safe, stay away from sex and drugs, and youre not sneaking in (aka its not 16+ or 18+) I wouldn’t mind seeing you, meeting you, having you there. I’d probably love to meet you. I just dont want anything bad for you, anything to fuck up your life, or the rave scene.
Yeah?
Plur always dear<3
